I was so repulsed about the taste of these wasabi flavored that I'm actually taking to write an entire short review about "peanuts" WTF!
I have to say I absolutely love wasabi. So it's not because of the distinct wasabi flavor, if that's what your thinking...FYI: The Blue Diamond wasabi almonds are the best!!
I bought these peanuts because they were on sale for $1.99 for 16oz. at the grocery store. How can I pass up a bargain like this? I was hungry, craving a good snack to watch with my DVD rental, and excited to get home to try them out.
When I got home and popped a handful in my mouth I immediately gagged and spewed them out like I had just eaten a handful of German cockroaches. To be honest, I tried to eat 1 peanut again right after the spew. Maybe I just did a wasabi overdose. Wrong! I'd rather eat dirt! (Chocolate flavored dirt though.)
To describe the peanuts in a "nutshell" no pun intended (yes I did). Have you ever handled a bunch of rubber bands and accidentally licked your fingers? Ha! You have now tasted the wonderful bitter flavor of Emerald wasabi peanuts! There's really no other way to describe the taste. All I know is that they do not taste like wasabi.
Do not buy these Emerald wasabi flavored peanuts, let me repeat that, EMERALD WASABI PEANUTS! E-M-E-R-A-L-D. If there are fans of these little boogers then please feel free to comment.
