Oscar De La Hoya (39-5, 30 KOs), boxing's biggest star, announced Thursday that he will meet pound-for-pound king, Filipino boxer, Manny Pacquiao (47-3-2, 35 KOs) on Dec. 6, two sources close to the fight told ESPN.com.
This should, or I shall say, this will be a really good fight. It's hard to say who has the edge in my opinion.
Although this fight tops off my favorite boxing match ups ever, I think some will agree that this would have been a much better fight if De La Hoya was at his "prime" fighting Pacquiao. Just for the fact that if De La Hoya loses, all of his fans will continue to discredit Manny and use the lame excuse that Oscar wasn't at his prime. I can hear it now..."Oscar would of kicked his ass if he was at his prime"...REALITY CHECK! This is now. Unless you have a time machine and can go back in time to coordinate a fight between the two... if De La Hoya loses...Deal with it!
De La Hoya (35) is getting old though and probably isn't in his best competitive shape, but he's still a fierce bad ass boxer that is favored to win. Pacquiao (26) on the other hand with his 10 yr experience and uncanny ability to maintain his constant power and speed has a really good chance to demote "The Golden Boy" to "The Silver Old Man."
Can't wait! Is it Dec. 6th yet??!!
Don't forget to look at these sexy photos of...
