Saturday night in Crawford, Texas, Jenna Bush and Henry Hager tied the knot. Here are a few photos released by The White House communications office of the beautiful bride, her new husband, and, of course, the U.S. President
“This is a joyous occasion for our family, as we celebrate the life ahead of Jenna and her husband, Henry,” the president said.
“It’s also a special time for Laura, who this Mother’s Day weekend will watch a young woman we raised together walk down the aisle.”
A source at the ranch said that the president alone, in traditional style, was escorting the bride to the altar. A White House spokeswoman said she did not know if Jenna Bush planned to take the name of Henry Hager.
Dinner and dancing for 200 guests - including family and close friends, including longtime George W. Bush advisers Karl Rove and Karen Hughes - were being held under tents at the ranch.
Jenna Bush, 26, wore an embroidered organza Oscar de la Renta gown, and was attended by twin sister Barbara Bush, the maid of honor, who wore a dress of moonstone blue shimmer with a silver sash.
