The Newest Round Diamond Cut: Antwerp Twins

Diamond shoppers who are tiring of the traditional brilliant cut, but still want something round, may consider a new cut called Antwerp Twins. Named for the twin babies 3D Diamonds chief executive Eva Van Looverren birthed one day after this cut’s conception, Antwerp Twins was just standardized by the HRD. The “twins” terminology comes from dome-shaped faceting on both on the crown and the pavilion. Gone is the traditional smooth table you see in a brilliant cut, resulting in a balanced contrast pattern that shines even brighter. Antwerp Twins will be showcased at a diamond show in Hong Kong, but it’s not clear when you’ll be able to pick up one of your own. via Diamonds.net
